Two Spirits Tell Adirondack Trail Tales
Monday May 5 at 7pm Join Kent Busman and Joe Doolittle, two of the region's most whimsical and irrepressible storytellers, as they spin tales of our beloved Adirondacks. Come listen to stories from the high peaks and flowing rivers, when hoop snakes traveled the byways and timber flowed in the river, of bob sleds and bears, and Matilda and hitching posts, of Burgoyne and Jane McCrae. This program is made possible by the Southern Adirondack Library System (SALS) and the Story Circle of the Capital District to celebrate SALS 50th Anniversary. This program is part of Living on the Edge a year long series of programs to be presented at the Corinth Free Library. These programs will each in unique ways show how life is lived in the foothills, on the banks of the Hudson, on the verge of the forest, and near the turning point of history. Space is limited; please call ahead to sign up - 654-6913.
Closings, meetings, etc. There will be no storytime on May 12, May 19, and May 30. There will be no evening hours on Monday May 19 as staff will be attending the 50th annual meeting of the Southern Adirondack Library System. Hours that day are 11am - 5pm. Closed Monday May 26 in Observance of Memorial Day.
